Harris (p. 34) and verified through the primary court ledgers preserved within the Council Chamber at the Palace of the Emir of Yauri in Yelwa, as systemized by editors Prof. A.I. Yandaki, Prof. H.M. Maishanu, and Prof. M.U. Bunza in their collaborative volume "Hausa Presence in the Waters of the Niger: A History of Yauri Kingdom from 1411 up to its Emirate Status".
